Description

This model modular is based on the East Tower of Troy VI that was built to protect the approach to the city’s East Gate. There is a ground-level door at the rear of the tower. This portal and the trap doors in the floors allow access from level to level, and the kit includes Bronze Age style ladders sized for the levels. Both the parapet and the turret of the tower lift off to allow access during game-play.

Wall length approx. 163mm

More on the East Tower on Michael’s blog here.

If you were to imagine Bronze Age Troy from the perspective of what happened to fortification in later periods, you might imagine that the citadel wall was peppered with more towers like this. However, there is little or no evidence for more than just the two towers along the entire circuit of the citadel wall.

The kit is made from medium density fibreboard (MDF). Some images show models made from coloured materials. Supreme Littleness Designs kits are supplied in raw materials not coloured.

Any miniatures shown with SLD models are for scale purposes only and are not included with the kits.
